What the cut changes
On the Pamuuc Linen Midi Dress, the fitted bodice and horizontal waist seam keep the upper part defined. Vertical panel lines lead into a flowing A line skirt, creating room below the waist without adding volume at the neckline or shoulders.
The front side slit gives the stride more space and lets the hem separate as the skirt swings. The square neckline and wide straps also make the shoulder fit easy to read. Check that the neckline lies flat and the straps stay secure when you lift your arms or turn.
How the dress should sit and move
Begin with the chest and waist while standing naturally. The bodice should follow your shape without pulling across the vertical seams. At the back, the smocked centre panel should sit smoothly and respond when you breathe, reach or sit.
The current composition is 50% Cotton, 48% Linen and 2% Elastane. Together with the smocked back, that small amount of stretch gives the bodice some flexibility. It does not replace a careful size check, especially because the upper body is fitted.
